What is Favorful?

We believe that everyone deserves a little help now and then. So we made Favorful to be your one stop site for asking and offering help with favors.

 

Sounds interesting, so how does it work?

You create a listing for your Favor, similar to any classified ad site. Friend and people in your local community will be able to browse these listings and accept the favor task. Once the individual has completed the favor for you, simply send them Favor Points in return for a job well done. To ask for more Favors you need more Favor Points. Browse for listings and help out others to start earning those Favor Points!

 

Cool, so how do I get started?

First sign up using your Facebook account. 5 Favor Points will automatically be applied to your account. Use these Points to ask for a Favor, or start searching for Favors people need help with.

 

I need help with a Favor, how do I ask for one?

If you are in need of a Favor, go to the “Ask for a Favor Page” and fill out the form. This part is easy, simply fill out the form to create a listing for your Favor. Be sure to offer Favor Points to entice people to complete your Favor! Also a good picture really makes your listing stand out! If anyone asks a question about your Favor or accepts it, you’ll be notified via email. Once they complete the Favor for you, go to the listing page and you’ll see a button to quickly send Favor Points to your helper.

 

How many Favor Points do I offer? What is one worth?

Whats great about Favor Points is they have no monetary value. The price is up to you!

 

Someone accepted the Favor but never completed it, now what!?

First off sorry, to hear that. Once the deadline for the Favor is passed, you have the option to grant or penalize Favor Points from the user. When you penalize the user, the amount of Favor Points you were originally offering will be deducted from the users account and transferred to your account!

 

I’m almost out of Favor Points, how do I earn more?

Go to the “Lend a Favor” page. Here you will be able to search for Favors based on keywords, location, due date and Favor Points being offered. Use the interactive map to browse for Favors in your area. Be sure to read the listing very carefully before accepting it. Take careful note of the Due date. If you can’t complete the Favor on time, you may be penalized for not completing the Favor. When in doubt, ask a question using the comment form. Once your sure you can help, go ahead and click the “Accept Favor!” button!

 

I finished the Favor, now what?

Nice job! Make sure you notify the owner of the Favor listing that the Favor is completed. The user will then transfer Favor Points to your account.

Can I freely send Favor Points to anyone?

Yes! Favor Points are yours to send to anyone on Favorful! Go to the “Send Favors” link, type in a name, enter the amount of Favor Points you want to send, and hit the “Transfer” button! Its that simple!
